What a message this must have been to the people of God scattered throughout the Babylonian empire. What a message of hope it continues to be to people scattered, torn, hurting, despairing…
The God of the Bible is the God who brings hope to His people. He restores that which is broken, makes whole what is scattered and invigorates community where this is none.
And God uses agents like Ezekiel, like you and me, to effect His plan of hope restoration and renewal.
My word today to myself and any who reads this…be an Ezekiel, be a life giver, a restoration worker, a hope restorer. Give your life to this.
Oh God, may it be so. May I be part of Your army,in order to bring hope, restoration, renewal, revival and reconnection to those in despair and need. Amen.
