Wednesday, April 10: Exodus 36– They made…

The entire chapter was a repeating refrain…they made. They made all the furnishings and the tent for the tabernacle.
The gathered community united in one common goal to build a place of presence and worship for the Lord. Everyone pitched in, everyone gave time and resources and skills to get the job done! This chapter is an incredible picture of focus and resolve…
What would God have us do today to reach a similar end? With the coming of Jesus, the presence of God in the world is no longer localized in a tabernacle or temple. The presence of God is now within the people of God individually and collectively. Therefore it seems to me if we are to ‘build’ the presence of God in our world and expand the worship of God in our world, the collective focus of God’s people today must be to make disciples unto the ends of the earth…
Oh, that the church would have the resolve to make disciples like the OT people had to build the tabernacle!
Lord, show me all the things I can do to build Your presence and increase the worship of You in my world at this time. Show me, Lord, show me…
For Your glory. Amen.
